International Scientific Audio Technology Workshop Announcement.
Lixouri Cephalonia Island, July 18-20, 2014.
Special theme: AURO 3-D Immersive Sound Technology of the Future. 

A three day scientific Audio Technology Workshop is going to take place in Lixouri - Cephalonia Island from Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20 2014. The topics covered span from the Acoustics of Ancient Theaters to the most recent topics of psychoacoustic oriented research. Topics like Auditory Interfaces and Pattern Recognition from Audio Signals are going to be presented. The scope of this work is to produce the necessary results for implementation into real life applications like man-machine interfacing in education and entertainment. A special topic concerning a recent European oriented research project into immersive audio experience in virtual life environments is also going to be presented. This is going to be the main theme of the three day Workshop.The workshop is going to take place at the Sound and Musical Instruments Technology Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Ionian Islands in the town of Lixouri.

- Kostas Drossos, Phd Candidate, Audiovisual Signal Processing Lab. Dept. of Audiovisual Arts, Faculty of Music and Audiovisual Arts, Ionian University.
